St. Edmund’s Church is set in the delightful market town of Crickhowell, in the Usk Valley, Brecon Beacons National Park. The church was built at the end of the 12th century and is cruciform in shape and surprisingly large. Two stained glass windows depicting The Flight into Egypt show the Angel Gabriel leading the Holy Family to safety. The church also houses a Holy Icon of the Resurrection. Ancient effigies of the church founders Lady Sybil and Sir Grimbald Pauncefote, lie on either side of the Sanctuary. The church is open every day to visitors from 9am until dusk.
