Crickhowell District Archive Centre

Crickhowell District Archive Centre is a treasure trove for family history hunters researching their roots. Run by volunteers, it was set up in 1999 by a group of local people in Crickhowell spurred on by a growing interest in genealogy. Open mon-sat 10am-12.30pm. Visitors can research in the archives or be helped in their investigations by the volunteer(s) of the day, according to their needs and apart from photocopying and Internet access - there is a small charge for this. A research service is provided for those unable to visit in person but charges also have to be made for this, to help cover the cost of running the Centre.
