The Society was established in 1977 and since then has continued to maintain an annual programme of talks, trips and events. Our President, Mrs Ann Lewis, was a founder member of the society. The society's year runs from February, when we hold our Annual General meeting through to November when we have our final talk and take a break for Christmas and New Year. Our membership is presently over 150 and new members are always welcome; you can join at one of our talks, which are all held in Clarence Hall or by contacting the Chairman or Secretary. Annual Membership is £3.

18th May Afternoon visit to Lydney Park Spring Garden, Chepstow
8th June Full day visit to Dyrham Park near Bath and to Camers, Old Sodbury
4th July Afternoon visit to Hanham Court Gardens, Bristol
15th August Grand Summer Fayre, Porthmawr House, 12.00-5.00pm
21st August Annual Show, Clarence hall, 2.00pm
21st September Vegetables for the Table with Sheena Crossley
19th October Garden Pinks with Mrs Highes, Kingstone Cottage Plants
16th November The Rock Garden with Don Everitt
15th February 2011 AGM followed by Plants & Places of Andalucia with Margaret Underwood
