Stephen Anderton of The Times speaks on 'Discovering Welsh Gardens'

Crickhowell Horticultural Society’s Celebrity Lecture for 2010 will be given by Stephen Anderton  - Award winning journalist, broadcaster, author and gardening correspondent of The Times. His illustrated talk is entitled "Discovering  Welsh Gardens."  We are very fortunate to be able to welcome Stephen to Crickhowell for what should be a fascinating evening. Stephen's publications include Rejuvenating a Garden, Urban Sanctuaries and Discovering Welsh Gardens (2009). Reviewing Discovering Welsh Gardens in The Daily Telegraph, Stephen Lacey wrote ' a superb production with an opinionated and provocative text........arresting photography by Charles Hawes." Stephen’s most recent work is the authorised biography of Christopher Lloyd, Christopher Lloyd: his Life at Great Dixter, which is to be published March 4th.   The lecture will be given on Tuesday 16th March 2010 at 7.30pm in the Clarence Hall.  Tickets for the talk cost £3 and are available in advance  from the Secretary -  Lynne Austin Brick House Church Lane Crickhowell 01873 810145
