Llangattock Green Valleys Community Interest Company is looking for a new Volunteer Director to help move this exciting project forward. Our aim is to deliver local renewable energy actions which get energy into the heart of the community. If you are prepared to stand up with enthusiasm to drive forward local renewable energy to protect your environment, are interested in enhancing your community and are ready to share your skills and experiences, we want people like to you to help make things happen. You will be part of an exciting movement to help this community and others like us to become CARBON NEGATIVE by 2015. In Llangattock during 2010 a sleeping giant was awoken. After a successful bid to British Gas in 2009 to become a participating community in the Green Streets project with £137,000 to spend on renewable energy projects we set about winning the £100,000. Green Streets has now come to an end with the great news that we were the winners!! Llangattock Green Valleys is now going from strength to strength after such a successful year in building up projects. We raised a further £140,000 in match funding for our projects. Next stage is looking for more volunteer directors who would like to take this exciting and winning organisation forward. Our funds are allocated and we have set up a further supportive business cycle to move things forward. Communities can now make a difference in renewable energy and making a difference for the future. Llangattock Green Valleys Community Interest Company works well in delivering large and small renewable energy projects such as Solar PV, Micro-Hydro, Woodland Management and Community Enhancement. If you would like to find out more or have some other interest in what we do respond to our call for a Volunteer director. The closing date is 7th November with interviews in the week beginning 21st November. Contact us for further information at at info@llangattockgreenvalleys.org
