Lucy Corbett was born in London, 1980. She began her artistic training in Florence at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in 1998. There she spent three years honing her skills as a portrait painter, taught in the sight size tradition and following in the footsteps of the old masters. During various painting trips around the world Lucy gained valuable knowledge in landscape painting. From the outback of Australia to the jungle of Bolivia and cityscapes of London Lucy has a wide breadth of experience. Recent time spent experimenting with the �alla prima� method with Marcus Hodge has very much reinvigorated Lucy�s appetite for still life. This technique, employed by Sorolla and Sargeant, is characterized by bold, expressive brushwork and a painterly, atmospheric surface. Today Lucy lives in South Wales with her family where she continues to discover new inspirations.

From A40 by the post office turn up Greenhill Way, past the allotments. Turn right at the mini roundabout. Keep straight on up Bellfountain Road, up over the hill, past Llangenny turning to next left turn, signed Llanbedr. Take this road into centre of village, church on the right.
