A special mobile information bus will be coming to Crickhowell on Thursday 23rd August 2007. The bus, staffed by specialists, offers the latest aids and equipment, information on local and national services, specialist advice on benefits, and an opportunity to try out products.
If you or a friend or relative has a problem with eyesight, then please come along to this unique opportunity. The bus will be parked in the car park behind the new ‘Crickhowell Resource & Information Centre from 10am to 3pm. You will be met by trained staff that will be able to help you.
The information bus is provided by ‘Action for blind people’, and has been invited to Crickhowell by the local charity ‘Visual Impairment Breconshire’ (VIB).
Margaret Seaman, chairman of VIB said “we are very lucky to have a visit from this excellent service. This is a great opportunity for anyone with problems with eyesight to get some first class information. Not all eye conditions can be solved by spectacles: ‘Action for blind people’ encourages independent living for those with sight loss and impairment. Families, friends and carers will be able to find out more about how they can best help. Please come along.”
