The cottages are available for use by Scouts and Guides, throughout the year. Camping is normally only permitted during the season Easter to October. Ty-Hir consists of a pair of semi-detached cottages, Glan yr Afon (Welsh-Riverside) and Ger y Ffordd (Welsh-Roadside) with five acres of grassland for camping, toilet block, drying rooms and washrooms. Each cottage will sleep a maximum of twenty-three in the three bedrooms.
